Frequently asked questions.
How do I join Eye See NZ?
Fill out the membership form on our Join page. We'll ask for your name, business, contact details, website, industry and which services interest you. Once submitted, our team reviews your application to make sure the collective stays true to its purpose — independent businesses standing together.
What are the criteria to become a member?
We keep the criteria simple: you must be an owner of the business (not an employee applying on behalf of the owner), you trade from a real physical location that customers can visit, and your business is independently owned — not part of a corporate chain.
How much does membership cost?
Membership is free while we grow the collective.
- Year one membership: Free — no joining fee
- Renewal, every year after: Free for now — we'll always tell you well ahead of any change
- Included in membership: Full business buying group benefits — collective pricing and offers from our business suppliers
- Priced separately: Shared services — Book Keeping, Accounts, Payroll, HR, Social Media & Marketing, Data Analytics and Community Activation — are an additional cost, quoted individually for your business.
How long does the application review take?
We usually review applications within a few business days. We're a small but mighty team, and the review is just to make sure every member fits the criteria of an independent New Zealand business.
What happens if my application isn't approved?
We'll email you to explain why it wasn't the right fit this time. It might be that the business model or ownership structure doesn't quite match the collective's criteria. You're welcome to reapply if your situation changes, and we're always happy to have a conversation first if you're unsure — just email info@eyesee.co.nz.
Where do the $330–$580 monthly savings come from?
The savings figure is based on the buying power of a national chain, negotiated on your behalf. For a business of around 7 employees, typical monthly savings fall between $330–$580 depending on your processes, operations and which suppliers you use. The biggest wins usually come from areas like mobile, telecommunications, insurance and staff benefits.
Do I have to use every supplier?
Not at all. You pick the suppliers and services that make sense for your business. There's no minimum spend or obligation to use them all — the collective is here to give you options, not lock you in.
What happens after I join?
Once your payment is confirmed, you'll receive access to our member pricing and the Eye See NZ logo for your shop door, website and marketing. We'll also be in touch directly to talk through any shared services support you've selected, and how that could look for your business. Keep an eye out for an email from info@eyesee.co.nz with everything you need.
